A Big Fish Goes a Long Way
Back in 2006, the inaugural Fishing For Kids Tournament connected business and community leaders who were determined to make a meaningful impact through charitable giving, and by participating in a unique and memorable sport-fishing event. Now entering its 15th year, the Fishing for Kids Tournament is widely acknowledged as one of the premier fundraising events of its kind.
The West Coast Fishing Club is proud to host this annual event amid the breathtaking beauty of Haida Gwaii, and we are even more proud to have contributed over $8 million in tournament proceeds to help Canucks Autism Network. The philanthropy of our supporters, who return year after year and carry on the tradition of giving, symbolizes the true spirit of the Fishing for Kids Tournament.
In 2019, the 14th Annual Fishing For Kids Tournament raised over $800,000 to benefit Canucks Autism Network. Together with our sponsors, participants and volunteers, we again made a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families living with autism throughout British Columbia.
When You Win The Kids Win!
Over the past fourteen years the Fishing For Kids Tournament has seen every participant open-handedly donate their winnings to the beneficiary. This generosity is at the core of our success and is instrumental in ensuring our ability to support charitable outreach through the event.
